A new solution for channel description

In the German beta group (#beta.de:tschat-1.teamspeak.com) of the TeamSpeak 5 client there was a small discussion today for the current solution of the channel description of both clients (TS3/5).

Namely, in TS5 no BBCode is supported anymore, but only Markdown and the other way around exactly the same.

Now I would like to suggest that both clients get an own [TAG], which both clients can use and recognize.

Here you have my examples with a description:
Both clients:

TeamSpeak 3 / 5 description

TS3 only: //nothing is displayed at TS5

[ts3]
TeamSpeak 3 description

TS5 only: //nothing is displayed at TS3

[ts5]
TeamSpeak 5 description

For both clients only with a different description: //the different description for the respective other client is NOT displayed at the other one!

[ts3]
TeamSpeak 3 description

[ts5]
TeamSpeak 5 description

Yes I to am in a crossroads and need a solid solution as to i know half will want the new ts and others wouldn’t update unless i trigger the server to for them to type.

We do not have plans to add new features into TS3 and our goal is that user move to TS5.
This would be against our plans.

that solves it then once the newer client becomes public ill just force the upgrade on my end and make the choice for them.
