Lose my user tag (name@myteamspeak.com)

Hi! A few months ago, i lost access to my account due to 2FA issues. I contacted TeamSpeak via email, and they resolved it by deleting my account, allowing me to re-register with the same email and username. Everything was fine until i noticed that in TS6 specifically in the bottom-left corner where my nickname appears my user tag (tankone@teamspeak.com) was missing, it used to show up there before i lost access. Now, it just displays the text “no value.” Could you help me get it back? I emailed them, and they said they had never seen this bug before and suggested I ask here. Thanks.

This sounds familiar to this issue. Can you please try these steps?

I already tried that, since it was the AI suggestion, i uninstalled it too, but nothing worked. I even tried installing it from scratch in a different windows user session, but that didn’t work either, i keep getting that “no value” error. This all started after an admin deleted my account so i could recreate it with the same name, the only thing i haven’t tried is using another pc…

If I delete the account again, could i create it again using the same name and email? Thanks.

Okay, good to know. Can you please share your tschat.log and a latest client log?
→ How to retrieve logs from your TeamSpeak client

Once I have your logs, I’ll talk to our IT guys and check what is causing the issue.

Deleting it again won’t most likely solve the issue, as your client is having issues connecting to your chat account, rather an issue with your myTS account. You have your myTS account on the one hand, and you chat account on the other. They are just linked together, which can result in sync issues when one was prior deleted (If that makes any sense to you)

Here they are, i masked parts of the windows username and the hash in tschat.log, i didn’t change anything in the other one. thanks!

Thanks, I’ll get it to the IT tomorrow to investigate.

Hi! any updates?

Unfortunately not really, we’ve checked the databases and didn’t came across anything suspicious. What you can try is the following:

We suspect that your client is “simply” not requesting a new chat account.

Warning

This may even make it worse :grimacing:, but hopefully it will work wonder.

I acknowledge the risk

You can enter the Developer Tools, go to Homebase and select Clear Homebase
→ Just search for Developer Tools in the search bar and you should land there. Note, that you may need the localized version of the word, depending on your client language.
