Other IP solutions / Domain

that’s really hard. expensive servers with no normal ip with few settings. i know it costs a lot and you can’t do much now. but as soon as the own server files will be there, i will definitely host it myself

i can help you with the SRV and CNAME

Just figured this one out recently. It appears, at least from what I’ve seen, the communities’ teamspeak.com domains seem to point to a series of different IP addresses and don’t use port 9987.

You can however still route to your community via your own domain using an SRV record.

Determine which port your community is running on
They may all be the same, however I’m not sure. Try launching the teamspeak3 client through a terminal and connect to your community. Keep an eye out for what port your client decides to connect to the server with.

Set up your SRV record
You can set up your SRV record according to the FAQ linked below, make sure you use the port you determine the community is using.

I haven’t tried using a TSDNS SRV record, but the regular record seems to work for me.
For example, the below record would allow you to connect to community.ny1.teamspeak.com running on port 1337 via ts.yourdomain.com
_ts3._udp.ts. 1 IN SRV 0 5 1337 community.ny1.teamspeak.com

Depending on your domain registrar this may take some tinkering, I personally use squarespace and it was a headache to get working.

it has actually been obvious that it is not the default port because otherwise each community server must have its own IP and Ts6server instance.

i have now this what i need to change or to add? sry im noob…
