Setting up TS6 Server on Synology using Container Manager

Hello,

I’m using the following image:

teamspeaksystems/TeamSpeak 6-server:latest

and I’m configuring the container manually (without a Compose YAML file)

The server generally runs, but not when I try to mount a directory…

In my case: /volume1/docker/TeamSpeak 6:/var/tsserver

When I mount this directory, the log shows the following:

2026-10-01 13:49:51.833759 | ERROR | ServerLibPriv | | Failed to create log directory “/var/tsserver/logs”

I’ve been tinkering with permissions for ages but can’t seem to find a solution…

The TS3 server container has been running for years without any issues and was configured the same way I configure all my containers—without causing any problems.

Does anyone have any ideas about what I could be doing differently?

Thanks in advance

Check if the server has sufficient read and write permissions. Connect to the NAS over SSH and assign ownership directly to 9987:9987:

# Set folder ownership to TeamSpeak's container UID/GID
chown -R 9987:9987 /volume1/docker/teamspeak6/teamspeak-data

# Apply standard secure permissions
sudo chmod -R 755 /volume1/docker/teamspeak6/teamspeak-data

(Avoid using chmod -R 777 as it opens unnecessary write permissions to all local processes and accounts).

It works ! :D This Problem drove me insane -.-

Thanks alot !
