Smalltalk

Let’s open another (useless) off topic conversation. :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Just post all the ‘shit’ outta here.

  • Who are you?
  • How is it going?
  • What did you buy recently?
  • What are you doing at the moment?
  • Where do you plan to go on vacation?

It’s the first upgrade in about 5 years.
And I’m thinking about to sell my old CPU.

I guess it would fit in a small tower as well.

But bigger is always better, right?

how much did you pay ?

For the CPU?
~ 560€

It has been available on Amazon for a short period of time.
Took a while until it arrived.

no the entire system

Basically too much, way too much.

But I’ve buyed the stuff 4 years ago and upgraded CPU & GPU a while ago.
This should last another 3-5 years I guess.

Fuuuuu!
My GTX 970 just died :frowning:
Now I have to temporarily go back to a 660…

I bought one of the last available 1080 Ti‘s last year on eBay with warranty.

And yaay… it had a really weird issue only in boosting mode.

Back to seller > money back

Bought another even more expensive 1080 Ti with warranty of course from a different seller.

Boom exact the same weird issue…
Impossible to do anything with the card.

Used the official Asus costumer support and send the card to Asus.

It took 8 weeks until I got a brand new card back.

No details, nothing.
Read and watched so much costumer complains about similar issues with 1080 Ti‘s from Asus.
1000s of brand new cards with hardware issues.

That’s what I call sad or ridiculous.
