This is my first time using TeamSpeaker. I created my first server, but while tinkering with it, I accidentally set the “guest” group as channel group administrators, and now I can’t revert to “Channel Admin” due to permission issues. How can I fix this?
In your server settings, you can change your default server and channel groups.
Make sure to open the advanced settings.
For Channel Admins, you should select “Channel Admin.” As a note, my screenshot shows a group I created myself.
When I try to change the channel administrators and remove the guest, an error message appears
”Error setting the Flush property: Invalid Group ID”
This error may be caused by the server version rather than your permissions configuration.
TeamSpeak fixed an issue in TS6 Server v6.0.0-beta8 where changing a default group resulted in an “invalid group ID” error.
Do you host your server local or by myTeamSpeak?
If your server is hosted by myTeamSpeak, you cannot update the server software yourself. I have also noticed that some myTeamSpeak-hosted servers in Discovery are still listed as v6.0.0-beta7 (maybe yours aswell?).
If yours is still using v6.0.0-beta7 or lower, the server will need to be updated or migrated by TeamSpeak before the default Channel Admin group can be changed successfully.
If you’re hosting the server local, please update your server.
For now, I would avoid deleting or modifying any additional groups, since the configuration may be recoverable once the hosted server has received the relevant update.

The server is hosted by myTeamSpeak, and checking here, it’s actually still on version 6.0.0-beta7.
I’ll wait until the server is migrated to the new version. Thank you so much for your help and information.
