TS5 Bug - Channel description and messages are not displayed in the correct format

I think the bug is already known. But if not, just look at the screenshot.

Can I just double check which TS 5 version you’re running?

Markdown is the way to go :slight_smile:
EDIT:

Holy shit dude, is your bot messaging everyone such a long message? :eyes:

Make this:
[B] --> [b]
[URL=XYZ] --> [url=XYZ]
[COLOR=XYZ] --> [color=XYZ]

There is no difference in writing upper or lower case :slight_smile:

I also thought that. It was suggested and I wanted to show that it doesn’t help. ^^

I have also the same problem. After the latest client update it was partially fixed. There are still some issues with the bb-code especially with size, list and hr tags

URL on images is not working as well.

TeamSpeak 5 switched from using BB code to Markdown as BB code is kinda old-fashioned these days and everyone is more familiar with Markdown.

Markdown however is a much simpler approach to formatting than BB code and doesn’t support some formatting options such as colors natively.

I wonder where TeamSpeak is going with this, because I like the simplicity of Markdown and patching in BB code support brings back stuff like custom colors which is kinda is “against” Markdown’s principle of being “simple”.

Good Day,

All BBCodes in TS5 are also not formatted correctly. This is very annoying.

TS5 has to be able to format the BBCodes in channel descriptions, messages etc. correctly, otherwise it is no fun to read this through.

And yes, the minimal advertising of the description has been made well away in red. :slight_smile:
