TS6 crashes when joining my private server

Hello. So my TS6 just started crashing randomly when i am joining my own server. i also had this issue when joining on a friends server but it fixed itself bc the server restarted. How can i get mine to restart? i hope this will fix the problem with mine too

Your client crashed right as you joined the server?

Does this happen frequently? Earlier today we’ve released an update that fixes a crash. May it be possible that it is resolved now?

especially on my server. yes. and no the update unfortunately didnt fix anything. i think the server really just needs to restart

Does your Server has a different version than your friends one? You can find that information in the right side of the server overview.

i cannot join my server. how exactly should i know?

I have a feeling that this is caused by the new migration we’ve added today.

Can you try to rename the file settings.db from your local Cache folder:

Win: %APPDATA%\TeamSpeak\Default
Linux: ~/.config/TeamSpeak/Default
Mac: ~/Library/Preferences/TeamSpeak/Default

And try again connecting to the server

no i can’t because i already did that. where is the problem to restart my (official) server that i pay for?

also it started yesterday. how should the problem be the new update?

You never told me that it started yesterday. But there is no problem in restarting the server however I am waiting on the Team to perform the restart therefore I am trying to troubleshoot in the meantime, as I don’t believe that a restart will fix this.

i just told you that the update didnt change anything. thought that would be obvious then

The server is now restarting, please try again in a few minutes.

When i start Ts6 Client and connect to this server the client instantly crash.
All other server i have in my list are working. But as i know just mine is ts6 and hosted by you.

Can you help me too?`:)

Thanks!!

We’ve initiated the restart, let me know if the issue still persists.

When I connect, my teamspeak directly crashes, but not for my friends, I don’t understand why, could you restart @LeonMarcelHD , thanks in advance

hey. my error still exist :frowning:

What i did so far:
Reinstalled t6 beta
Killed account data and login again
tryd all settings on client side
All ts3 servers i have in list work

my server is hosted by you
On Mobile its working

Please follow these steps to retrieve debugging logs. Also check the mentioned path at the bottom of the post, if there are any crash dumps. We need them to further investigate this crash.

Here are the Files: Link

On my Work PC with same Client i got no problem so far.. maybe a problem with new TeamSpeak Version? As i can remember this error happend from the moment i got a update message and then an instant crash.

i reinstalled teamspeak and cleard all %appdata% files.

No chance. i think its the version.

I tryd an older Version and now its working again.
And he wanna update to the corupted version

hope you can find the bug with my input.

Thanks for the logs and crash dump. I’ll forward them to the devs, however they are already out of office, so a fix may not come until ~mid January :christmas_tree:

Can you try joining the server with a default channel selected in your bookmarks or change the default channel on your server?

We’ve had some crashes when receiving messages, and I’ll guess that the default channel on your server may has a broken message in it.

nah, i changed to other channel on start, same issue.
And after updating to newest version its same problem.

i really think your newest version is corrupted.

@LeonMarcelHD, with the same version of teamspeak on my laptop it works well. I really don’t understand, I tried to changed default channel in bookmarks, on the server too, but nothing works, I’m currently using TS3 as a workaround for now. If I connect to voice.teamspeak.com on my desktop computer it works well, my ts6 only crashes when connecting to my community server (that I pay each year :()). You can find attached logs: Here, it may helps with the ones from @X3meOS.
Kind regards,
eSenKaa

I’ve forwarded them the logs but as said it may take a bit till we have a fix for this ready.

To try and find a workaround, please try starting the client with this start parameter --cpa=“Test”
This will create a new user profile for the TeamSpeak client. You can try running it in the CMD. If the connection to the server works, then you should add that to the desktop shortcut as it then becomes your new default profile.
