This request came up many times in the past when talking about new features, at some point prior we tried using the group chat system (Matrix) for the channel chats as well as implementing them in a Text channel way, However this was not reliable and stable enough so we returned back to our own protocol chat.
Currently screen share is still our main topic and we’ll see what the future brings.
