Alpha Testing?

Greetings!

How long have you used TeamSpeak for?
I used Teamspeak first in 2009 (still Ts2) but started using it frequently only in 2014.

What OS/OS’s are you currently using?
Windows. First Windows 7, now Windows 10.

Are you currently a server owner, an active user (but don’t run your own server), inactive, or a mixture of the prior?
I run a Teamspeak Server since 2015 and are on it every day!

On a scale of 1-5 (1 being low and 5 being the best), how would you score your technical knowledge on TS?
4 fits the best to me.

Optional question - If you could add something that doesn’t exist on TS currently, what would it be and why?
Most likely a proper friendslist system, as well as the possibility to share your screen.

1. Overall, how long have you used TeamSpeak for? (any version)

Since 2006 proud Teamspeak User!

2. What OS/OS’s are you currently using?

Windows 10

3. Are you currently a server owner, an active user (but don’t run your own server), inactive, or a mixture of the prior?

I am a Server owner (128 Slots - licensed) with a Community (200 Members) what means i am active on our Teamspeak-Server daily.

4. On a scale of 1-5 (1 being low and 5 being the best), how would you score your technical knowledge on TS?

5

5. If you could add something that doesn’t exist on TS currently, what would it be and why?

the possibility to Send a Voice message to someone (added or instead of the whisperlist)

Hello! I would personally love to take part to the alpha testing of TeamSpeak, it’s the only VoIP service i use and love with my community and it would be great to take part to the alpha testing to see what can be improved  Now let’s go with the questions:

Overall, how long have you used TeamSpeak for? (any version)

I’ve been using TeamSpeak since 2014, of course I have started with TeamSpeak 3 and now I am happily enjoying the Beta Version of TeamSpeak 5, I’ve been testing it since the end of 2019.

What OS/OS’s are you currently using?

I am currently using Windows 10, but I also have some Linux platform where I could be able to test without issues.

Are you currently a server owner, an active user (but don’t run your own server), inactive, or a mixture of the prior?

Yes, I currently own a gaming community, based on our TeamSpeak Server. I’ve been running that community happily since 2017 and i run, maintenance and own the whole infrastructure.

On a scale of 1-5 (1 being low and 5 being the best), how would you score your technical knowledge on TS?

I would give myself a 4. I went deep into the installation of TeamSpeak software side in various conditions (i.e. containerized installation, etc…) so i am ready to face different situations. Regarding the software, i structured advanced permissions and useful features for the community i own. I would give myself a 4 because there’s always something to learn!

Optional question - If you could add something that doesn’t exist on TS currently, what would it be and why?

For sure i would implement something about screen or video sharing, to make the software as complete as possible and get a fully smooth experience. Anyway I personally think that the beta is already going in the right direction.

Hope to hear something back from you soon!

  1. Overall, how long have you used TeamSpeak for? (any version)
I use TeamSpeak since 2018, i began with TeamSpeak 3, then i became a beta tester.
  2. What OS/OS’s are you currently using?
    Windows 10.
  3. Are you currently a server owner, an active user (but don’t run your own server), inactive, or a mixture of the prior?
Server owner but a bit inactive user.
  4. On a scale of 1-5 (1 being low and 5 being the best), how would you score your technical knowledge on TS?
    I think 2.
  5. Optional question - If you could add something that doesn’t exist on TS currently, what would it be and why?
I would add screen and video sharing, app integrations(Spotify, GitHub, etc) and an API to create bots.

Hello ! I would like to participate in the Alpha phase of TeamSpeak because your software is my favorite for vocal.

• 1. Overall, how long have you used TeamSpeak for ? (any version)
| I have been using TeamSpeak for about 7 years now (2014).

• 2. What OS/OS’s are you currently using ?
| I only use Windows (Windows 10 currently), I have never browsed Linux and iOS as I am on Android at the moment, but I will be upgrading to an Apple iOS phone soon.

• 3. Are you currently a server owner, an active user (but don’t run your own server), inactive, or a mixture of the prior ?
| I am a server owner as well as an active user, I manage a project that needs to have a teamspeak server, so I have to be active.

• 4. On a scale of 1-5 (1 being low and 5 being the best), how would you score your technical knowledge on TS ?
| I’m not a technical professional, but for all that, I know how to manage a TeamSpeak, so while remaining modest, I would say 3,5 (maximum 4).

• 5. Optional question - If you could add something that doesn’t exist on TS currently, what would it be and why ?
| Looking at the responses to this message, I saw that it was already offered a lot by users of the software: a screen sharing system. It’s in great demand, but it’s also very useful !

Also, another proposal I have to make to you (although I don’t know if it is feasible): to create a new lounge parameter that would make certain ranks see the lounge in question, but not others.

Hoping to have helped you and to be able to continue to help you in the future,
Cordially

1 - For the better part of the last 8 years
2 - Windows 10 & iOS
3 - Active User and Admin/Mod for a private server
4 - Fairly knowledgable.
5 - A more robust text chat and p2p file transfer system between users on a server. Screen Share/Game screen share.

  • 4 - daily using for Five M community , all use advanced permissions.
  1. Optional question - If you could add something that doesn’t exist on TS currently, what would it be and why?
  • Free servers for all, screen sharing & video sharing new badges and New and distinctive features

Well, I’ll give it a try!

I’m a student from Italy, and I’ve been using teamspeak since around 2014, when I was almost a little kiddo.
I’ve always used windows pc’s.
I’m a co-owner of a little public server, and I’m onlime almost every day because of coff coffvideo lessonscoff coff and gaming with friends of course.

I’ve been setting permissions and rooms on servers for years, so I’d say my technical knowledge could easily be 4 or 5, but if it comes to programming I’d say 2 or 3.

I would add to ts5 something that was requested tons of other times already: Screen sharing, and video call support. It would be amazing, and no one from “the competition” could say they have them and we don’t anymore.

Good luck with applications everyone! I hope you guys like mine!

  • Unfortunately, I don’t know exactly, but I think it’s 2014
  1. What OS/OS’s are you currently using?
  • Android & Windows 10
  1. Are you currently a server owner, an active user (but don’t run your own server), inactive, or a mixture of the prior?
  • Server owner & active user.
  1. On a scale of 1-5 (1 being low and 5 being the best), how would you score your technical knowledge on TS?
  • 4 - Have have my own server and use advanced permissions.
  1. Optional question - If you could add something that doesn’t exist on TS currently, what would it be and why?
  • Screen / Video sharing, and a permanent text channel where the messages stays

1. Overall, how long have you used TeamSpeak for? (any version)
I have been using TeamSpeak since 2014.

2. What OS/OS’s are you currently using?
Windows, Linux and Android.

3. Are you currently a server owner, an active user (but don’t run your own server), inactive, or a mixture of the prior?
Currently, I’m server owner and active user, with users who would also be willing to test.

4. On a scale of 1-5 (1 being low and 5 being the best), how would you score your technical knowledge on TS?
I think I would say 4. I installed more teamspeak servers and I’ve configured some unique settings on my server and assign users groups so they can interact with various channels how I want.

5. Optional question - If you could add something that doesn’t exist on TS currently, what would it be and why?
Screen sharing. Server based so we can use our server bandwidth. Everyone in my ts server is using third party program to screen share. That would be great.

Hello,

I would be interested in joining the Alpha Tester team to make Teamspeak better. I am from Germany and have been using Teamspeak for more than 7 years now. Since I have been a beta tester of the new client for over a year now and not just continue to use Teamspeak 3 like many other beta testers, I would like to take the chance to join the Teamspeak Alpha Team. I am aware that in the Alpha Team I will get earlier updates of the new client than many others and that I am not allowed to reveal them. I have experienced a lot with Teamspeak and I am not a critic when it comes to competition. I know many hidden niches in the new client such as the Developer Tool.

Here now a small overview of my small application:

  1. Overall, how long have you used TeamSpeak for? (any version)
  • I have been using Teamspeak for over 7 years and have a lot of experience in Teamspeak 3 and All New Teamspeak (Teamspeak 5).
  1. What OS/OS’s are you currently using?
  • I use Teamspeak mostly on Windows, but also have Teamspeak on my Android and like to use it on Linux.
  1. Are you currently a server owner, an active user (but don’t run your own server), inactive, or a mixture of the prior?
  • I have my own small server, with which I also like to test many things. However, I am currently active on another Teamspeak server as a developer and moderator.
  1. On a scale of 1-5 (1 being low and 5 being the best), how would you score your technical knowledge on TS?
  • I would say 4 to 5, because I am not so good in Teamspeak 3 anymore but I know the new client almost perfectly.
  1. Optional question - If you could add something that doesn’t exist on TS currently, what would it be and why?
  • A better moderation behavior of the moderated channels, with more options to set the talkpower in the channel and the general design of the moderation window at the bottom right.

Regards
Tom

  • What OS/OS’s are you currently using?

I use Windows 10 and Android, in terms of platforms that TeamSpeak runs on.

  • Are you currently a server owner, an active user (but don’t run your own server), inactive, or a mixture of the prior?

I am currently a server owner and TeamSpeak community leader.

From a developer perspective - webhooks. Not everything has to run as a query instance and from a security standpoint its better for a webhook to send information than have to have an external application connect to the server and be given query credentials.

Also from a developer perspective - myTeamSpeak API. I’ve mentioned this before, and I’ll keep saying it. Better to have people connect to sites/custom applications with a myTeamSpeak account than have to ask for user emails, passwords etc. and let people store them in unsecure ways. This could also provide interesting information like badges, servers this person/identity has been seen on etc.

From a user perspective - server themes and styles. This is controversial, but could be an amazing way to individualise servers, let owners have a creative approach to them and really make them unique. There should also be a setting of course to ignore server styling should a user not wish to be a part of the owners/administrators creativity.

Also from a user perspective - limit channel access by group and the ability for groups to only give/remove/control specific other groups. Most people don’t understand the permissions system, so it should be simpler to just tick which groups (be that channel or server) can access a given channel.
This is particularly useful for servers with a wider user base, where you have different groups of people who still end up being able to control each other. With a numerical permissions system, someone has to be placed below or above someone else in the number game. With a simpler tick-box, you could make sure that groups of users are more confined and can only really access exactly what you want them to and nothing more.

2. What OS/OS’s are you currently using?
Im using Windows 10.

3. Are you currently a server owner, an active user (but don’t run your own server), inactive, or a mixture of the prior?
I am an active user, I don’t own a Server, but helped a little bit out by a friend [not by the beta version]

4. On a scale of 1-5 (1 being low and 5 being the best), how would you score your technical knowledge on TS?
I guess 4 about
5. Optional question - If you could add something that doesn’t exist on TS currently, what would it be and why?
Screen sharing would be really really nice

  1. 2011 since version 3.0.0
  2. Windows 10
  3. Server Owner and Active user
  4. 4~5
  5. Screen sharing, Video call & sharing, chat channels, free servers (more options with subscription maybe), channel permissions depend to user roles, maybe ability of adding bots that able to managing (like discord bots), show all registered users in teamspeak server and ability to show their profiles with their roles
  1. I have been using Teamspeak since 2016.
  2. I am using Ubuntu linux and windows 10 right now.
  3. I am a server owner as well a active user.
  4. 3.5/5
  5. I would add sending pictures in channel chat. Of course this would need to be moderated and would need permissions aswell.

1. Overall, how long have you used TeamSpeak for? (any version)
I started using TS (TS2 i think) in 2007 or 2008, i don’t remember correctly. I played CoD2 with my class mates and we decided to use TS for speaking. Later i started playing WoW and i’ve been in lot of guilds and all of them used TS2/TS3. In 2010-2014 i used rarely (i used it mostly in summer because i had more time to play). After 2014 i stopped using TS3. I started using again TS3 (and TS5) in 2020 because i joined a WoW guild that uses TS3. And since then i’m using it almost regularly.

2. What OS/OS’s are you currently using?
Windows 10

3. Are you currently a server owner, an active user (but don’t run your own server), inactive, or a mixture of the prior?
I don’t have a server but i use TS5 regularly since i got the beta.

4. On a scale of 1-5 (1 being low and 5 being the best), how would you score your technical knowledge on TS?
Maybe 3.

5. Optional question - If you could add something that doesn’t exist on TS currently, what would it be and why?

  • An In-Game overlay that shows who’s speaking.
  • Text-only channels: Currently you can write only in that channel that you joined. There could be text channels where you can write regardless of your current channel. So let’s say X is in Channel1 and Y is in Channel2, they could both write in the same text channel. Some MMO guilds could write their raid information there, like raid days, etc. You could also make a text channel for useful links (tutorials, Boss tactics, etc.). And the owner could decide who can write in a channel (by server ranks).

Overall, how long have you used TeamSpeak for? (any version)

I use teamspeak since 2015

What OS/OS’s are you currently using?

I use windows 10

Are you currently a server owner, an active user (but don’t run your own server), inactive, or a mixture of the prior?

At the moment I am a server manager (but not owner), and an active user in several other servers

On a scale of 1-5 (1 being low and 5 being the best), how would you score your technical knowledge on TS?

4.5, I’ve done many servers, created hundreds of permissions. Unfortunately I didn’t put 5 as it is almost impossible to be omniscient on a subject

Optional question - If you could add something that doesn’t exist on TS currently, what would it be and why?

I have already made some proposals on the appropriate post, today I’ll give the motivation. In my opinion TS5 will have to revolutionize the system of voice calls between players, it will also have to contain all the functions to make the use of the same software more pleasant (for example screen sharing with permissions like the control of mouse and keyboard with a fluid video and a customizable video resolution) instead of downloading more programs unnecessarily. Under the beta post I only made proposals for an API in other programming languages as I think it is easier for users to create add-ons. And some badges proposal as I believe that today it is a very coveted object by users and it is done almost competing to see who has more. Just writing these two lines, it occurred to me that you could put a system that compares the badges of two users and shows both of them the screen of the badges that each has. I would also add the ability to create emojis (for free). For the rest, all the proposals that came to my mind have already been made, but this does not mean that it will be like this forever.

  2. What OS/OS’s are you currently using? Windows 10 Pro
  3. Are you currently a server owner, an active user (but don’t run your own server), inactive, or a mixture of the prior? I’ve owned servers in the past, but now I rent but am still an active user.
  4. On a scale of 1-5 (1 being low and 5 being the best), how would you score your technical knowledge on TS? 4
  5. Optional question - If you could add something that doesn’t exist on TS currently, what would it be and why? I can’t think of one at the moment.

Ahh! Maybe this couid be the one?! I’ve been trying to get into the BETA Version but it never happened. Hopefully one day… anyways, back to the questions eh?

Overall, how long have you used TeamSpeak for? (any version)

I’d say I’m using it since 2014. That was the year where I’ve met my new friends who all got me into PC’s and gaming, etc. We’ve been using TeamSpeak ever since.

What OS/OS’s are you currently using?

On the regular I’m using it on Windows, but sometimes if I don’t have the urge to stand up and open up my computer I’m on my phone (iOS)

Are you currently a server owner, an active user (but don’t run your own server), inactive, or a mixture of the prior?

Not a server owner but a Co-Member, I did the designing for Logos and Server List Aesthetic.

On a scale of 1-5 (1 being low and 5 being the best), how would you score your technical knowledge on TS?*emphasized text*

I’d proudly say a 3. I know there’s a lot you can do on TeamSpeak such as creating your own Soundboards or designs, but thats mainly all I know (and - … all of the general settings :joy:) BUT:: I know some. Hehe

Optional question - If you could add something that doesn’t exist on TS currently, what would it be and why?

Okay, this is super extra, but I’ve always imagined about how extreme this would be. IMAGINE a channel on your favourite Server/ own server where you can put in links and it plays music or even supports MP4. Second would be… uhm… bigger size avatars!
