If you get a call on ts3 mobile, you fly out of the ts client in the background, it immediately leaves the server and you have to come back in by hand, this is very annoying if you are charging your phone and have dirty hands, so you have to end the call again, then run back and reconnect to the server.
a better alternative would be to stay connected in the ts client, but mute mic & sound, and unmute it after the call.
I’ve been experiencing a couple of issues with TeamSpeak 3 on iOS for quite some time now, but I never reported them earlier because I assumed they might be caused by some kind of limitation.
I am currently using iOS 26.4 and the latest version of TeamSpeak 3 for iOS.
Whenever I receive a phone call, TeamSpeak 3 closes automatically after a few seconds. The only way to prevent this is by keeping the app in the foreground during the call.
This behavior does not happen on Android, which makes me think it might be an iOS-specific issue.
If possible, it would be great to see these issues addressed in future updates.
Has anyone else experienced this? Any known fixes or workarounds?
This is actually an iOS limitation which we can’t change. Due to issue that the app can’t run in the background will the connection eventually time out.
Background usage only works when the app can make audio inputs or outputs, but due to the phone call, this is no longer possible.
The only thing we can do here is improve the experience for an automatic reconnect / button to reconnect. But for now, this is a won’t fix. Sorry.
