Hello,
I’m experiencing an issue with my Apollo sound card where audio capture doesn’t work on TeamSpeak 6. Instead, I get an error message. I’ve already checked my settings and drivers, but the problem persists. Has anyone encountered a similar issue or knows how to resolve this?
Thanks in advance!
Hello,
what is the error message you got ?
When I switch to the Apollo interface, TeamSpeak 6 doesn’t capture any audio, and I hear a voice message saying ‘Error.’ I’ve checked my settings and drivers, but the issue persists. Maybe this feature is not fully refined in the beta version yet, as the Apollo interface is a more advanced sound card. Do you know what could be causing this?
Best regards!
I got the same with apollo twin x

Hi,
I’m coming back to this topic because after half a year the problem with my Apollo Solo USB and TeamSpeak 6 still persists.
Audio capture does not work at all – I always get an error message, even though the card works perfectly fine in other applications (Ableton, OBS, Discord, etc.).
My drivers are up to date, I’ve tested different settings in TS6 (WASAPI, DirectSound), and Apollo is set as the default device in Windows. Despite all this, TeamSpeak 6 still doesn’t recognize or capture audio from Apollo.
What’s strange is that in TeamSpeak 3 everything works normally with Apollo, so this looks like a TS6-specific issue.
It really starts to get frustrating that this problem hasn’t been fixed for so long. It seems to be a compatibility problem between TS6 and Apollo/UAD.
Does anyone have any new information, possible workarounds, or maybe the TS6 devs plan to release a fix for UAD devices?
Thanks in advance!
Hi,
The issue comes from the fact that professional audio interfaces (like Apollo) register in Windows as multichannel devices, and TeamSpeak 6 cannot properly handle multichannel drivers – that’s why you get the audio capture error.
The workaround is to use VB-Audio Virtual Cable, which creates a simple 2-channel WDM device that TS6 can recognize, while Apollo still works normally in DAWs with the UAD ASIO driver.
Setup steps:
-
Install VB-Cable (free from vb-audio.com).
-
In Windows → Sound → Recording devices:
-
Right-click Apollo → Properties → “Listen” tab.
-
Enable “Listen to this device” and select CABLE Input as the playback device.
-
-
In TeamSpeak 6 → Settings → Audio → Capture Device:
- Select CABLE Output (VB-Audio Virtual Cable) as the microphone.
This way, TS6 receives a clean stereo signal and bypasses the multichannel driver problem.
If you’re not sure about the configuration, you can always ask ChatGPT for a detailed step-by-step guide.
Best regards,
