Currently there is no automated way of telling others that I am not using my device (AFK).
Of course I can click AFK then select Away for status, but it’s inefficient and not automatic. When I set AFK set it both on server and account/chat/whatever. If I don’t want to speak in channel I could just self mute.
There should be an option to do this automatically. Majority of the chat+voip platforms do this.
Set the yellow Away sign and AFK in channel after being idle (no input/mouse move/voice activity) for 5 mins or customizable by user.
Also when I only set account/chat/whatever that is to Away there’s no way non contacts telling if I’m away or not in a server.
The solution could be that “idle” afk would only set account/chat/whatever to Away(orange) then show this status in the channel list too automatically, like an orange ring around the voice indicator or orange name or orange dot before/after the name. And make it visible for non contacts on the same server.
