I just reinstalled Teamspeak after a few years and when I wanted to change my username (account setting), it tells me (after confirming the password) that I do not have the necessary authorization to do that.
Do you have a solution or is this normal?

It is normal, and it is intentional for technical reasons, but it’s coming back.

i mean TS6 is no where near finished yet. we only got to see some leaks so far

I made this account god knows how long ago, maybe 7 years? And I finally wish to switch the username after Discord is pulling AI shenanigans. I don’t have permission to change the username myself, I simply request a staff to switch the username to ‘Myuzamai’. Thanks in advance.
Renaming is currently disabled but we are working on re-enabling it in the near future.

There should at least be a way to change your username by submitting a ticket. Let it be a couple days, a week, a month or however long it may take, but at least then you’ll be able to change your username. Nearly 5 years with no way to change your username is absolutely ridiculous.

That is currently not possible, as the system to rename yourself is still disabled.

i finaly after many years look into ts… im shocked… 5 years… effing 5 YEARS… and still the system is broken?! no wonder you guys lose user that fast…

I initially created a username that I use often across various platforms. But I saw that the name I chose was causing difficulties with others that I associate with in my player Guild channel who do not recognize that name. I’ve tried repeatedly to change and update to the main character name I use in that particular channel for Everquest, but I only receive the notification 'unable to perform this action when I try. Is there a way of getting around this. Not critical, but would be nice to satisfy a minor need.
Unfortunately, it‘s not possible. Only thing is to change the username on different TeamSpeak servers. This can be done permanently via bookmarks.

i was wondering if it is possible to change my myteamspeak name to another, is this possible?
If i try it in the client, it seems to not have rights for this.

Changing username is not possible for a few years now due to technical reasons, but we’re working on reactivating it as soon as possible.
