Cannot change my Server Nicknames IP to Domain

Hi,
I am trying to change my Server Nickname from IP to Domain. That errors out with this beautiful message: “Sorry! The password reset request has been rejected. Please finish the ongoing email change process first.” Which is odd because last time I checked changing a DNS setting is not changing my password.

Until now I’ve never tried to change my email, and I never received any mail regarding an email change. I am aware that waiting 48 hours should clear this error IF there is an email change in progress because it would time out by then. I’ve tried this now every single day for two weeks and nothing changes.
I already tried changing my email just to check if this would clear this error but that didn’t work either.
I can create a new Nickname but just like the old one I can’t edit it.

Is there anything that can be done to allow me to change my Server Nicknames IP/Domain?

Are there any special characters in your server nickname? For example, some Dutch symbols or Cyrillic?

Nope there arent. It only has normal letters.
I can create the exact same one again just with a “2” at the end and it works no problem but isn’t editable either.

Just to be sure I created a completely new one with only lowercase letters but that doesn’t work either.
I created it with an IP and tried changing it to a domain. no work :(
Other way around also doesn’t work.
The domain in the screenshot doesn’t exist so no worries.
