Cannot login into TS6 Client or TS Mobile App but onto MyTeamSpeak Website

I’ve used the TS6 since it’s release and had no issues so far until I changed my MyTeamSpeak password to like 20 characters (2FA is also activated). After the password change, I cannot login onto the TS6 Client or Mobile App. Somehow I can login onto the MyTeamSpeak Webpage without any issues and of course the same credentials that I used to login into the client.

So when I login into the TS6 Client, the error message is always generic like “Email or password is invalid”. But I mean I can login onto the Teamspeak website with the exact same credentials. Then I thought maybe I have to reinstall TS6 and delete the existing TS3 instance from my system. Sadly without the expected outcome. It seems like it has stored my credentials somewhere on my system. Because even tried to do a clean reinstall (including removing the files from %localappdata%/TeamSpeak) but when I start the TS6 client it goes straight to the login page with the message “Could not log in to your account”. The whole onboarding proccess gets skipped somehow.

What could I try to login somehow again into my account on the TS6 Client / Mobile App?

I’m using Windows 11 (25H2), AMD CPU and GPU.

Can you try deleting the files here:
%localappdata%/TeamSpeak and %appdata%\TeamSpeak\Default\

If the login still does not work, please attach the latest client logs from here:
%localappdata%\TeamSpeak\Logs\Default

Have you enabled the 2FA right after the password change on the website?
It might be possible that the client hasn’t received this update yet and still tried to use old data.

It could solve the issue to disable the 2FA on the website, then login to the client and enable it trough the client.

Just a note: the mobile Apps do not support 2FA at the moment, so any login there wouldn’t work either way.

Thank you! The solution was to disable the 2FA and try it again in a few days. I’ve tried it again today and it worked fine after I’ve disabled the 2FA on the MyTeamSpeak website.

Just out of curiosity: I’ve (re-)enabled 2FA right after the password change. So if I understand it correct, there is a initial sync from the TS6 Client to the Teamspeak 6 network to validate cached user information at everytime you start the application? Is there like an interval e.g. you have to wait for 30mins and try it again? And has TS6 to be running to sync in the background or is it only at bootup of the application?

Last little sidenote: It would be really appreciated if there is a 2FA option to add at least an information on the website, if you enable 2FA, that you cannot use the Mobile App anymore. Is there a roadmap for 2FA support for the mobile app?

On startup and initial login, the account is updated and will check for any external changes:

You can see the checks for this here:

The notice is already there:
When trying to enable the 2FA on the myTS website, you’ll see this notice:

Two-Step Verification is not supported on TeamSpeak 3 and mobile.

If you’re using a TS3 client or mobile clients, please avoid enabling 2FA.
