Cant connect to localhost server

I am trying to connect to my localhost server that I started yesterday. Yesterday it worked just fine, but today, I try to connect to it, I get an error message that says “failed to connect to server”. In the client log it says ‘No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it’ and also ‘An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host’

Means your computer denies the connection.

And check that server is running and then the server log.

What does it mean for the computer to deny connection?

How do I check if the server is running?

There are some possible reasons for that:

  • The server is running but that port is blocked by Windows Firewall or other firewall. You can enable the program to go through firewall in the Inbound list.
  • There is a security program on your PC, i.e a Internet Security or Antivirus that blocks several ports on your PC.

I already tried that, unfortunately it didn’t work

Read your server log.
