I think it would be better if the password input on channels would be censored.

Perhaps a feature much like the one for your Email under "Settings > Account", where it will only show when you hover your cursor above it would be a good addition?

Show on hovering maybe. This needs to be discussed in Team first and in case it needs to be done everywhere.

For Beta69 it will be like that.
Reveal password will be everywhere (Excludes server and channel edit)
