I noticed that basic chat features (editing, deleting, replying, and reactions) aren’t working in community servers. These features work perfectly fine in regular group chats, but for some reason they’re not available in the new communities.
These features are not offered ton TeamSpeak servers, only in the group chats.
Don’t see why they wouldn’t want to implement it given they already have it for group chats? Obviously TS3 servers didn’t have the implementation, but I assume they could implement it for TS5/6 servers.
The new servers are pretty much the same as TS3 servers, they tried to implement a matrix chat into the server 3 years ago, but it was not performant enough.
Okay so if they aren’t able to implement a matrix chat, I don’t see why they cannot implement a more basic chat system similar to other platforms? Most chat platforms just use a simple database to store messages and handle basic features like editing and deletion through API requests.
You don’t need anything as complex as Matrix to have these basic features.
