Clean setup for Dualbooting etc

Hey there, i’m quite fresh to setting up my own TS Server, and recently i also setup my pc for dualbooting with Win10 as well Linux Mint.(for each their own partition and a shared NTFS parition for games, files and such) Now due i’m the one in our circle host the TS Server, it would be good to be able to host my server on both OS’es. The current way i run it is quite messy and not even sure if the smartest (pretty much made a unified folder where i put the windows files as well the linux files in one folder - so i’ve shared server files) but i’m wondering, is it possible to setup the servers so that i’ve linux and windows separatly installed and a 3rd (shared) folder where the serverfiles (like logs and such) go into?

As example: Imagine TeamSpeak3Server folder, and there i’ve a Windows, a Linux as well as [ServerName] Folder for the Serverdata. (which also the latter one would make it easier for me to backup and if neccessary can give one of my friends, if something should happen with my PC - just to be save) and with some sort of config method - both the windows server.exe as well the Linux one look for the server-settings/data/etc in the 3rd folder (and also save stuff there like if new channels get added and such?)

Thanks =)

What I would suggest is setting up the server once, then you can use YaTQA to copy all of the permissions as well as all Channels.

By doing so you can have an copy of your virtual server on a different server without messing with database modification.
