CS2 VAC error on teamspeak 6 installed

Hello Teamspeak Team,

just wanted to report that we get an VAC Error when trying to join a CS2 match while Teamspeak 6 is installed not even opened. The first time this happened was during a TS 6 voice and screen sharing session.

I didn’t saw any open topics about this yet that’s why I wanted to share it.

Thanks in advance!

Regards

Ojun

Can you describe this error a bit more in detail?

Have you received an error message/sound or an artifact in other users voice?

No sound artifacts or anything like that. The first VAC issue in Counter-Strike 2 appeared after about 10 minutes while I was streaming via Teamspeak. Restarting my PC multiple times did not fix the problem. I also received two messages in Counter-Strike 2 telling me to remove programs that might interfere with VAC (conflict). After uninstalling the entire TS6 client, I was immediately able to play CS2 normally again without any kicks, errors, or other issues.

I’ve been playing for several years and have never encountered this message before. With the Teamspeak 6 client, however, something clearly goes wrong—there seems to be a conflict between CS2 and TS6. It must be related to the TS6 client.

Hey, thanks for the report, both @OjunbamO & @sashaa361

We haven’t seen anyone else report this issue so far, whether the TS6 Client is installed but not running, open in the background, actively used, or even during an active screensharing session.

We also had several people test screensharing initially while playing Counter-Strike 2 and other Steam games (including other VAC protected games), and none of them experienced this problem.

A few more details would be helpful here:

  1. Can you share a screenshot (or a video) of the VAC error message you’re seeing with the TS6 Client open (both the in-game kick message and any pop-up warnings in the menu)?
  2. Does the error occur only on VAC-secured community/match servers, or do you also see it in the main menu or immediately when launching CS2?
  3. Does the issue persist after closing TS6, or resolve after a full uninstall?
  4. Are you running CS2 through Steam with any special launch options?
  5. Have you tried verifying CS2’s game file integrity through Steam after the error appears?
  6. Is there anything else running in the background on your PC that could cause this issue?
  7. Are you on Windows 11 or Windows 10?

Here are screenshots while screensharing in TS6 connected to an official VAC Protected Server, with no errors occurring at any point during the match, or even afterwards in the main menu.

  1. I will do this soon; however, I am currently unable to, as I am busy at the moment.

  2. Initially, everything worked as usual. After the first VAC-related error/kick, I continued to receive the same message whenever I tried to join a new Deathmatch, even after multiple PC restarts. However, the error message never appeared instantly it only showed up when I attempted to join a VAC Secured server.

  3. After receiving an error kick, simply closing TeamSpeak was not sufficient. I had to completely uninstall it. After that, even without restarting the PC—only restarting CS2 I was immediately able to play again without any issues.

  4. No, I do not have any custom launch options enabled.

  5. No, because the issue was resolved immediately after uninstalling TeamSpeak 6.

  6. No, only standard applications such as Discord and Logitech G HUB were running, as usual.

  7. Windows 11 22H2.
