Customers automatically turn off the microphone after disconnecting the remote desktop on the windows 2022 server

I used the VB-Cable Virtual Audio Device to play music on the server, and then the ts3 client joined the server to play music. However, it can only be played when I am remotely connected to the desktop. If I disconnect the remote desktop, I see that the ts3 client on the server automatically turns off the microphone. Why is that?

Could be the logon screen from Windows ?!

If I am not mistaken the VB audio virtual cables use another device to synchronize their internal clock to. This is typically a physical device, however in your case I assume it takes the virtual speaker created for the remote session as reference. Thus if you close the remote connection there is no longer a reference device for the VB cables and they stop working.

This is just my assumption, and I might be totally off here, but you might have more luck with other virtual audio cables.

Forgot to mention, I have the same settings, there won’t be any problems on Windows Server 2012. I reinstalled the system that day, changing Windows Server 2012 to 2022 because I felt there were a lot of issues with 2012.

I solved it, changed the music player’s output from the default: DirectSound to: WaveOut
