I am trying to switch to and daily drive TeamSpeak, but I noticed there is a significant latency between DM messages both for me and my pals (not on every message, but sufficient to become annoying, especially when chatting with more than 2-3 replies).
Thanks and looking forward to getting this figured out!
However, there is still an issue: most of the times, the icons seem to update with delay (clock → sent → seen). There can be like 15-20 (or even more) seconds before they are updated, but as my friends said and through my observation, the messages were sent with a delay of maximum 5 seconds (which I would say that is within the acceptable limits). I did not test more to see if there still exists the possibility of lagging, but will update the thread in the following days, as I continue to use the platform.
This can sometimes happen depending on when the client sends out the read markers, when the server receives them and when it sends them out and the client receives them.
Started noticing the latency again from time to time. For example, on my side, two messages (one screenshot and a text message) looked to be sent, but my friend did not receive the message and the screenshot I attached for like 2 minutes.
Sorry for the late response, but this is mostly down to the load that the one specific chat server is handling…
With the current setup we can’t squeeze more performance out of that machine but in the future we might be able to make some changes to increase performance. This however takes time and resources we currently don’t have.
