No. You dont have any special rights or similar. 
Everyone in the forum will see your badges on your profile. They just won’t see the badges if you have hidden your profile

badges don’t make you cooler as a person, but in the context of a platform in general, they mean that you are more involved in the life of the ts community.
like… you are rather an active member than passive you know
