I would love having a permission to allow/disallow receiving country flags for each client from the server.
For example, suppose I am moving countries regularly. I do not want other users to be able to track my location.
Currently, clients can turn off country flags, but there is no way as a server admin to stop clients from being able to turn them on. Specifically, there is no built-in way to prevent the server from sending out each user’s country to everyone else.
Why should the server admin be able to decide whether country flags are displayed or not?

As I said already, the disclosing of country information should be controllable for privacy reasons. Since it is the server doing it, I’d guess a server permission is the simplest way to implement it. But any way for a user to stop their country from being disclosed to other users would be fine with me.
Agreed! Having more options for server admins to work on and make the server of their dreams is a good thing. Don’t care about privacy? Then we can have things all public, but if you care enough about it then the option is there as well… It’s like the server permissions, look how unique the permissions are and It’s not like “This server group can do this and cannot do that in few checkboxes”, you can customize the way you want…
So having an option for server admins to choose if they want total privacy with flags or give out their public information where they live without a VPN would be already an unique feature for the Teamspeak server and pretty sure it would be recognized in the privacy community as a thumbs up move!
