Since a semi-recent update, the Desktop client has a so-called “Hybrid Mode” for voice activation. As I understand, it transmits sounds only when (a) above a volume threshold AND (b) detected as voice – ignoring periods of high volume where there is no voice.
I would love to have this awesome feature on Android as well. It seems even more useful in mobile scenarios, where one is more likely to be in a noisy place, e.g. outdoors instead of alone in a room.
