I really like the direction this is going. Being able to call someone directly without having to join a server first makes TeamSpeak a lot more convenient for everyday use, especially when you just want to quickly talk to one person.
The Picture-in-Picture feature also looks really useful, especially with multiple screenshares or cameras being visible at the same time.
Overall I think this is a great addition to TS6. I just hope features like this continue to complement the traditional server-based side of TeamSpeak rather than replacing what makes TeamSpeak different in the first place.
Is there possibility to make it so you can call whole group chat instead of being able to do only 1 on 1 call.
This feature focuses on 1-1 direct calls between two users in a private chat. It remains to be seen whether and to what extent we will introduce Group Calls. We are definitely keeping an eye on group calls as a feature addition, but the scope has not yet been discussed, as it was not the focus of this release/implementation.
Will the 1-1 calls be available by the end of August?
This is great. I’d love to be able to test it early if needed. Please let me know if it’s possible to beta or alpha test it early on.
I’ve been using the server off my laptop for certain situations, but it’d be more convenient to just directly call until we utilize the server for the greater group.
