HELP Connection Problem - Failed to resolve hostname

Hello!

Since I changed my ISP to a new one (fiber) I was not able to connect to tons of servers, almost all of them.
I need to connect specially to the one above (IP hidden)

Ihave already done the port forwarding for 9967 UDP, 10011 TCP and 30033 TCP

Here is the log files when I try to connect

You only need to forward those ports on the server side.
As a client this is not required and could potentially be harmfull.

As long as you don’t provide the full domain we won’t be able to fully help you.

I can suggest to use a custom DNS server.
If you are running windows you can change the used DNS server in the adapter configuration by selecting Properties -> Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) -> Properties -> Use the following DNS server addresses:
I would recommend using either the Cloudflare DNS (1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1) or the Google DNS (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4)
You can also use combinations of those like 1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8
There are a tone of different DNS servers out there but those proved most reliable for me.

(To reset this simply check Obtain DNS server address automatically again)

This might help resolve the hostname.

I am already using Google DNS but I will try some others…
I think there is no problem, the domain is: ferobra.r7host.com

You know what, here is the full log with no hidden stuff:

Well, there simply is no entry for this domain.

So no matter the DNS, you won’t be able to connect as there is nothing to connect to.

Can you try this one too?

cansadosfofinhos.r7host.com

Same, no entries.
You can check for yourself. There are a lot of websites resolving DNS for you. The one I mostly use is this one: DNS Record Lookup - ViewDNS.info

That makes no sense…

I am using those domains since always!

The server is old so we use older TS versions (I use 3.1.0) to connect.
Maybe that’s why you can’t find the server?

I don’t think I can really assist here anymore.
But I found this: https://support.teamspeak.com/hc/en-us/articles/360002713138-Server-address-resolution-and-TSDNS-changes-with-Client-3-1-x
So maybe the admin should consider updating the server.

I really appreciate your help, buddy!

Just to let you know, we can use some newer versions too, like 3.1.8

I could connect using the directly IP address of the server followed by the correct port.

Thats not the ideal but it works so its fine
