High ping issues with TS Server (v3.11.0)

High ping issues with TS Server

Since the last months I have received many high ping complaints from users as a host.
These were created after speex codecs were removed.
Is it possible that opus can cause these problems?

I have a business fiber optic connection of 500MBPS / 500Mbps up / down connection
The normal pings on minecraft servers are around 2 to 3 ms
Normal tests also indicate an average ping of 2 to 3 ms measured via ookla test speeds …
Firewall on or off also makes no difference !!
Who can tell me what a cause of this can be ??
Server is hosted on a dell poweredge r510 with 128 gb of memory and 2x a xeon x5675

Hi
It could be a problem from a special internet provider. If all users have the same issues it has to be your server where the problem is. If only some users have this issue then it indicates the internet provider from these people is the issue.

let them download this tool: WinMTR download | SourceForge.net give them your ip from the TS Server and let them run it. In this tool you can see if there is a packet loss or ping problem on one of the internet hops.

And do not ever use a speedtest for ping issues…never ever

is this server at your home? if yes your test is useless… one of your other users with the issue should do it.

because you are pinging a server that is no more than 3 meters away from you.

what do you get if you ping my server?

kwo.amc-netwerk.amsterdam
nbtt.amc-netwerk.amsterdam
community.amc-netwerk.amsterdam
nhc.amc-netwerk.amsterdam

when i ping your server with the mtr tool i get no packet loss at all

Strange…

Not strange at all internet is not just internet it is Millions of different cables and connections from many Providers.
You need to find the one connection that causes trouble…so ask the provider from the connection to the server for help. they can investigate deeper.
