It doesn work

Yes, I can set it, but it doesnt mute my mic when i press it

uff…2021 and I still have the same error. I use a button (F13) to toggle AFK, works fine, and I set another key for “push-to-mute” which is my ingame voice chat key…so ingame push to talk active = Teamspeak mute. that´s the plan for not beeing heard twice. but the push-to-mute button wont work. same button works for other alignments, but none button works for push to mute.

Works fine in TS3 client…could you use source-code of TS3 client to make it working please? I´m still at TS3 and cant switch to TS6 as these simple key bindings wont work :frowning:

I just tested this on Zorin OS, and i just ran the binary from the website. I am able to set the binding (i.e. toggle mute), i can assign a key to it. When i press said key, nothing happens.

yup, just nothing happens when you hit that key. and this is so important…

The PTM button works fine on my end with Arch (Steam OS)

it works on steamos? well, great…than there´s nothing to see here? wtf ?!?

try Windows. most gamers use windows  it´s useless if it only works on steamos.

I´m back with discord, I wont use steamos.

Windows also works seamlessly. Since you did not specify anything about your OS I assumed it would be a Linux installation.

If I click on the app, my mic works just fine with PTT.
All Playback, recording and capture settings are set.
When I click off of TS6, like a game, browser or even desktop, my mic will not work.

What OS are you using and which key do you use to trigger the PTT?

OS is Windows 10 Pro 64-Bit and PTT is Left Alt as it’s always been since TS2

Have you tried starting it with admin permissions?

Is this behavior only visible when using PTT? How do normal Hotkeys like mute / sound mute behave?

Has it worked in the past on TS6?

Could you please share your audio settings as well as your hotkeys attached as a screenshot?

I do not know how to start with admin permissions.
I have not tested any other parameters other than PTT. One problem at a time.
I have never used TS6 before tonight, but in TS2 and TS3 it works just fine.

Right click the desktop shortcut and click run as admin

That is not an option, as there are no Compatability Tab options in the submenu.

Is it possible that the Anti Virus software is interfering with TeamSpeak (hotkey_helper.exe)?

Why are your icons not loading?
And why does the shortcut not tell the start in location?

The run as admin is probably not shown as you seemingly don’t have admin permissions with your Windows user account.

Sorry for the double post, but I took it upon myself to uninstall and reinstall. The only difference this time is I installed for all users instead of “just me” and now I have the options for Administrator launch.
However, even without launching as administrator, my PTT hotkey now works while not in the foreground.
Tested and confirmed that it works no matter what I have in the foreground without running as Administrator
I don’t know if the uninstall/reinstall fixed it or the option to install for all users was the solution.
I was searching for hours and read about installing it that way from an old forum post (source unknown) and it was a possible solution to prior versions of Teamspeak.
