How can I hide the Channel description?

I’m messing around with permissions.

I already know that you can’t make a channel invisible, but can you make it so only certain users/groups can see the description of a channel?

Set the Channel’s i_channel_needed_description_view_power to a number that is higher than the groups you don’t want to see it. then set the role’s i_channel_description_view_power to match the previous number, or exceed it. Not entirely sure how it works for individual users, I’m sure there’s a setting but I haven’t gotten that deep in the weeds with the permission settings yet.

Seems like when the user doesn’t have the permissions on the TS6 beta, it just negates them and they can see it anyway. :’)

Hopefully that’s just a bug for now, because having to set 200+ permissions for every group/user is going to be a pain in the nads. I already have a hard time understanding what some of them do as I’m new to this side of TeamSpeak (having any sort of authority to manage a server).

Can not confirm this issue. The only thing you can view is the topic of the channel, but the description stays hidden.

If i_channel_needed_description_view_power is set on a channel it will not be visible to users that don’t have the matching i_channel_description_view_power.
