Hello i have problem. Why canโt I send photos in chat on text channels? Did I set something up wrong?
I have set up the same server on two different machines. However, one of the servers does not have a button to link images.
So I want to know what settings this is related to.

Hi. Iโm hosting a TeamSpeak6 server on a Linux machine inside my local network. The local network is behind a MikroTik router (RB3011UiAS) running Router-OS version 7.12.2. I have configured ports 9987, 30033, 10022, 10080 and 10443 to forward UDP and TCP traffic to the Linux machine running the server.
My clients are able to connect from outside of my network and can speak in the server. When they upload an image to the serverโs chat channel, they claim that the image loads forever for them (the uploader) and no other clients connected can see the image.
When I personally connect to my server from inside of the network, I am able to see all images that all clients upload to the chat and can upload my own images. I am apparently the only one who can see any images uploaded. I am still able to chat with my clients over voice with no issues.
Does anyone have any idea what is causing this bug?
Itโs a problem between the uploader and myTS because
Thank you for the explanation. My friends and I are trying to migrate away from Discord and having our data stored on other remote servers that we canโt control in general. TeamSpeak wonโt be a valid replacement for Discord if we have to rely on a third party to host our data. Is there any way to store our data locally on the machine that hosts the TeamSpeak 6 server? I am aware of a way to store the data on AWS S3, but that just moves the problem somewhere else. Thanks.
I was told that an option to send files via the file transfer protocol is not off the table but there is currently no timeline for this feature.
There is, however, one alternative. It is a bit cumbersome but should work. You can upload files to a channel. Middle mouse click on a channel, or right click and select Browse File. Then upload the file (for files over 5MB you want to use the dedicated upload button and not drag and drop). Lastly you can right click the file, select Copy URL and send that to the chat. This will not show a preview of the file, though.
Thatโs not reasonable. If the ability to transfer files fully via the server ever comes out Iโll reconsider TeamSpeak. Do you know of any self-hosted alternatives to TeamSpeak and Discord that have this ability?
