Hey, im trying to give myself the ServerQuery Retrieve Virtual Serverlist permission, but when i try to set that value to true, i get the error that i have insufficient permission modify power, altho i claimed the server permissions key, so i should have all permissions.
What can i try?
You could assign the permission to the group if you join with the ServerQuery but it doesn’t have an advantage for you as a admin.
Aha, i still need it for YaTQA, how would i assign those permissions? i create a new group with all those permissions, and then somwehow assign that to the ServerQuery account?
The ServerQuery admin account has all permissions needed for server management. You should have received the credentials when installing the server either as a pop up on Windows or in the server logs.
aha, didnt see that can i somehow find them back? i allready restarted the teamspeak server so i dont have those logs in the console anymore.
They are not in my server logs, ill just reinstall the server, its still a default server.
Found it, then an other question, i want to move users trough a website how can i do that?
Trough a query move the user with the Teamspeak Unique ID to a channelname or something?
Hi all,
I don’t know exactly how to get server query admin permissions. I just started the server and used the token to get my useraccount and claim the server. Tried to connect by ssh with teamspeak server 6 and perfect, I could login and launch commands on it but I can’t modify the part server query permissions even used serveradmin account etc.. Is it possible to get permissions or is it not available? I just wanted to duplicated the profile of server admin permissions to create another named Office and remove some permissions and set this profile as lower than serveradmin profile.
Are you connected with the Query login details you received on the first start?
Yeah but i don’t exactly how to use perhaps or I’m wrong in something. Let me show you some screenshots.
As you can see recently created the server and claimed the server witht he token. I can’t modify any parameter of the first field on the right.
Those Permissions are reserved for the (Server Admin) Query clients. So in this case they are not needed for normal users.
Yeah but how can I provide that permissions to my account Amdar which is a serveradmin and get these permissions, As you can see too I can login by ssh with serveradmin account and the password and some commands are refuse I think so by permissions. Am I wrong? or I mistaken something? I told it because is not only for that what you indicated on the application previously if not on the ssh session too. servergrouplist command is not show nothing.
There are two types of groups:
- Server Groups
- Server Query Groups
The server groups are available for everyone and they can only use the normal Permissions.
The server query groups have access to the ServerQuery permissions therefore allowing to create custom Query groups that have limited permissions. These groups are hidden in the normal TeamSpeak client view and are only needed in very rare cases.
You as a administrator of the server do not need the ServerQuery permissions assigned to your group.
To interact with the server you need to select a virtual server. Typically by using the command
→ use 1
Understood. Now, I have the vision.
Thank you so much for your fast support. Im testing it to get it works properly.
