I didn't receive a confirmation email and I lost my nickname because of it

Hi. I wanted to register, I register but I don’t get confirmation, then I want to register again but the nickname is already taken. Nick: YbublikY

The email is now marked as taken in the system and waits for the owner to get changed as new address for the account.You have to wait ~48 hours before you can repeat the process.

This is the case when you are changing your email, so I would guess that that time window is the same for creating accounts.
