Several of us have updated to the latest version of TS6, and we’ve all experienced the same thing, we’ve lost our chat history. It also won’t let us open photos sent by users from the previous version (“File not found”).
We have changed our hashing algorithm internally, so the client now thinks you are connected to a new server. This was overlooked during testing, but I have forwarded the issue to our developers for further investigation to check whether it is possible to migrate the old chat history to the new format.
As long as you do not clear your cache, I can assure you that the messages are still stored on your device.
I’ll update you once I receive a reply regarding how we are proceeding in this case.
The error “File not found” is more or less due to the same change. It happens when a user is still on beta3.2, but if all users are on the new version beta 3.3 this should not appear anymore.

We are working on a way for the client to migrate the old chat history to the new format. This will be included in the next update which we plan to release next week.
