Mask on channels icon

We use PNG icons and I noticed that some masks are on or under the channel icon which doesn’t look very nice

I suggest to use SVG images.
PNG is “outdated” in 2020.

Indeed this has nothing to do with png / svg.
But you can just remove the alpha channel from the png / convert to jpg or similar.
But I have to agree svg is a lot better nowadays.

I used SVG icons.

In TeamSpeak 3 SVG icons look very rough

my icons are specially made with transparent symbols inside to look beautiful on any background and in TeamSpeak 5 they don’t look pretty because of the mask

You clearly stated you were using png icons and I don’t really see a problem with the svg icon in TS3. The problem seems to be the icon itself but it looks better in TS5 as it calculates the pixels differently.

Regarding the transparent background: I see how you need it for server groups but they look good in TS5 as well.

For channel icons there is no mask but the icon itself. It masks the underlying placeholder icon.

Now do you know what I mean? If you don’t understand what I’m saying, don’t continue topic!

So, basically you want that if you set custom icons, placeholder one gets either fully replaced or only white background stays, which kinda acts as a border.

For those who don’t understand, he wants gray parts of icons to disappear.

If I’m wrong, then I don’t know. If I’m right, this is GREAT idea.

The underlying mask is a problem for my sever as well. It makes the icons really hard to see.
