Hello,
This is not a technical post, it is more of a social post. Let me explain myself.
The friend group and I used to be on TeamSpeak 3, even when Discord was arround. One day we moved to Discord because of the convenience of features and because “everyone was there”.
A few days ago we went back to TeamSpeak 3 and 6 due to the state of Discord and in that migration I could see how dependent people can be to Discord, no matter how times they screw users with their data and computer performance.
Even knowing TS6 is on a beta state, I have seen complaints with comparison with Discord, like how screenshare works, confusing UI/UX, X or Y feature Discord has and its not here…
For me, without mentioning bugs, I’m happy with the direction of TeamSpeak but there is a lot of work to be done. The comparisons are making my friends incline more to Discord than TS6 even if our community was built on TS3.
I wish the developers and the users making the plugins/extensions the best of luck with the software.
For the regular user reading this, if you want to stop using Discord go to your profile in the platform, link your contact info for other VOIP software and simply stop using it. If you stay there people are not gonna move to other platforms because they can already talk with you there. Make the change.
