Permission to view channel banner

Hey, I’ve created a new teamspeak server and added channel banners. Sadly other users can’t see them. I’ve already looked up the advanced permissions, but I can’t find the correct one. Any ideas?

Permissions I tried:

  • ServerQuery: View Channel Info (I thought maybe the client loads them via serverQuery?)
  • Channel Description View Power > Needed Channel Description View Power

The banners are stored on the server. Does the client need file transfer download or browse permissions too?

Maybe someone has an idea
It’s definitly a permission error, because with admin rights the banners become visible.

I’ve also seen that channels have permissions themself (not visible via ts5 client I think):

  • description_view_power
  • needed_description_view_power

I guess they just need to be lower as the users channel description view power.
But I dont really get what the “description_view_power” permission on a channel does

The channel banners load without a permission.

Grant the users access to the channel where the files are stored or you can upload them to a GitHub Gist or something else (imgur does not work if I recall correctly)

Okay thats good to know.
Users without admin role cant see the banners.
When adding them to the admin role, the banners will load. And the banners also keep showing for them when removing the admin role again.

I only have port 9987 & 30033 open, but that should not be the problem as the banners load with the admin role.

I thought it has to be a permission problem

Have you tried uploading them somewhere else?
