Do i have to ask the Server Owner before I create a Server Nickname?
You can create a server nickname but it will only work if the server admin add it to server nicknames in “Manage Virtual Server”.
This is only partially true.
Anyone can add a server nickname and it will work regardless of the server settings!
You do not need anyone’s permissions. It is just like domain names. Anyone can create them and point them wherever they want.
