I rented a VPS server a month ago and set up a TeamSpeak server using LinuxGSM and os is ubuntu 22.04. Everything was working fine at first, but about a week ago, I started experiencing severe voice lag and packet loss (as shown in the screenshot).
I tried different operating systems, including Arch Linux and Windows Server 2016, but the issue remains the same.
Only two people use this server, and as soon as both of us are online and try to talk, the voice starts cutting out badly.
I contacted VPS support, and they simply pinged the IP and told me there were no issues.
How can I troubleshoot this and determine where the problem ? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Have you tried connecting to one of our official servers to confirm whether the issue is with the VPS rather than your internet connection?
From the screenshot it looks like there is only the TS server running right?

Yes, sorry, I forgot to write that. We don’t have this kind of problem on the official server, and yes, it’s only a TeamSpeak server on the VPS.
Then unfortunately there don’t seem to be anything we can do from our stand.

Seems to be an issue with your VPS provider. Had the same thing happen a few years ago with many different providers. A lot of them just provide low quality virtual servers, and due to the nature of VPSs, performance can be impacted during peak hours as well.
Ionos has been working flawlessly for me the last 2 years tho. Zero downtime, zero issues. 1€/month. More than enough for a ts server and you can easily run a vpn or reverse proxy in addition.
What’s your hosting provider btw?
