Sorry! The password reset request has been rejected. Please, finish the ongoing email change process first

Hey, i changed the email of my main acc (not this one) and while the email validation was in progress i also changed the password. Now i cant login to my acc to validate my email or to change the password. I’m completely locked out.

Who can i talk to? Who can help me?

Thanks for your help.

There is no way to reset your password while your email process is unfinished!

You still got your old email where password request was done on or it was rejected from our service.

wow, my bad. It works. thanks!

Hello, I keep getting an error message saying that something is wrong with my email address or it’s not assigned! What should I do?

I can’t correct my domain redirects this way – I keep getting the same message!

Very Thank You

I have logged in and out several times, reset the password, deleted all the links, and then it worked.. thanks

Hello,

I have reset my password through the website about 3 days ago and since then cant change my server nickname in the myteamspeak panel. The error I am getting is:

Sorry! The password reset request has been rejected. Please, finish the ongoing email change process first

Which doesnt make sense, since I changed my password to a new password. I can also create new Server nicknames, but not change existing ones. I want to move my teamspeak server to a new IP adress, so I will have to change it.

Is there some kind of cooldown period after resetting the password? I couldnt find anything relating to that.

Thanks in advance for any help

You can’t perform a password reset when you still have a pending email change. So you’ll first need to verify the new email and then you can perform the password reset.

This is not the same problem, my password reset is completed and i get the error message while changing the server nickanme (the name you can use instead of an IP).

Hey TS people, I haven’t really used teamspeak in some years. This is my main account, but given that I wanted to get into the TS5 beta back then, I created a second account(I Think, I cant fully remember). I haven’t touched that second account, since I also got into the beta on my main account. Now I got an email that someone is trying to change the email address from the original email, to something completely different. Since I never really used the account, I don’t remember the password, nor do I have one saved in my password manager(I normally have all passwords saved there, even going 6 years+ back), maybe was it somehow possible to create an account without an password?. When I try to reset the password I get the message “Sorry! The password reset request has been rejected. Please, finish the ongoing email change process first“. Is there anything that can be done?

Also, does anyone might know why someone is trying to “hack“/takeover my account, its just an teamspeak account overall, that shouldn’t be usefull to anyone, or am I just uneducated in that direction.

Looking forward to the answers, thanks in advanced.

I guess your account was breached and now someone is trying to transfer the account for some reason. It is absolutely WILD that you can not request a password change while an email transfer is taking place. This is not your fault. The email change will be cancelled 24 hours after it was requested. So simply wait 24 hours after you received the email informing you about the pending email change and then try to reset your password again.

I can definitely see that there was activity on an account with a similar email, but after 48 hours the request will time out and you should be able to reset the password. If you no longer need that account you can also request a manual account deletion by emailing [email protected].

Just so that you are aware: If you don’t have your recovery key for that account on hand, all synced data will be deleted.

Thanks for pointing out that I can manually let that account be deleted, definitely gonna do that.

And its might be a weird question/something you cannot answer, but do you might have an idea why someone would try to hack an/my teamspeak account? I wouldn’t say that this is an personal attack(cause wth is someone doing with my TS account?), so are these justs like bots/scanners that try every account looking for something? But then yet again, why would someone want someone else’s teamspeak account(except that person is an admin with many perms on a bigger server, which I’m not).

I don’t know if you can answer that, but regardless, thats for your answer.

I legitimately don’t know a good reason for it. Especially since you’ve not used the account :person_shrugging:
