Teamspeak 3 and 6 server on same computer

,

So here’s the thing, I’m in a Linux environment and I want to have 2 teamspeaks working in the same machine, one for Teamspeak 3 and the other for Teamspeak 6, but because 6 uses the same ports as 3, it’s impossible to start up one or another at same time, so my question is the follow:

  1. Which ports do I need to change in order to have both servers working?
  2. Do I need to change or install something else to have both servers working?

I’m asking these 2 questions, because I tried to work with this issue, so I changed ports for voice, FTP and query and still if I have these ports changed for 6, for example, I can’t start up 3 and it doesn’t prompt any error message to what it could be, but if I turn off 6 and start 3 then 3 initializes…

I just tested and it looks like this by design and it will not work as the accounting system does not allow multiple instances:

2025-07-30 16:04:52.261321|ERROR |Accounting | |local accounting reports an already running instance, instance will shutdown

Okay so, what about making Teamspeak 6 different than 3, so it can run both servers in the future, I mean…It’s a new Teamspeak version so it should be a bit different in structure right?
