Hey everyone, we’re back with a new update! ![]()
With this release, we’re turning our attention to how you communicate every day in TeamSpeak. The chat experience has been completely reworked with a redesigned rich-text editor, alongside new additions like server snapshots and macOS audio capture. If you’ve been keeping an eye on our socials (@teamspeakdev), you’ve already seen the sneak peeks, and today we’re happy for you to finally get your hands on it.
Foundation II builds on Foundation I with a sharper focus on communication and usability. It delivers a fully redesigned rich-text editor with live preview, richer Markdown-style formatting, slash commands, a new toolbar, and support for tables, math (KaTeX), Mermaid diagrams, images, references, and more.
Beyond editing, it adds server snapshots for simpler migration and backups, plus audio capture on macOS. It also improves rendering, copy/paste, HTML import behavior, and streaming defaults for better quality and performance. The chat/servertree rendering has also seen major performance improvements, averaging 3x, and in some cases more than 400x.
As with every Foundation release, Foundation II rounds things out with broad stability fixes across streaming, platform edge cases, and overall client reliability.
