Hello everyone,
I have a question about domain forwarding for my TeamSpeak server.
Is it possible to obtain approval so that I can use my existing Fritz!Box domain (e.g., meinefritz.net) for forwarding to my TeamSpeak server?
The reason is that I would like to make my server accessible under a simple and permanent address without having to set up an additional external domain service.
Could you please tell me if this is generally possible and whether certain requirements must be met?
Thank you in advance for your support.
Best regards,
Bastian
So do you mean you want to use a local domain like ‘voice.local’ or what exactly? Because only the users in your same network can use that ‘domain’
Hello and Thank You!
I host my TS server at home and use a MyFRITZ! address (e.g., xyz.myfritz.net). I can connect to this address directly in the TS client. However, when I try to register my server on myteamspeak.com, the MyFRITZ domain isn’t accepted. Is there a way I can still use my FRITZ! domain there, or do I absolutely need my own domain?
For me it worked just fine.
Just put the domain you’ve received into the server nickname field:
You have a port in the FRITZ dashboard TPC-Port for HTTPS. In my case it was 40177 but it might be different.
If you use this one as the servers voice port and enable the port forwarding, you should then have no issues connecting to the server.
Thank you so much, it worked that way. Why it didn’t work the first time, I have no idea.
Thanks for the great answers – a great team.
