TeamSpeak Permissions

Hello guys,

i was wondering if there is any possible way to prevent ‘Channel Admin’ from being able
to assign a ‘Channel Group’ to a ‘Server Admin’.

is that possible ?

Yes of course it is possible.
There are multiple permissions to handle this case.

The easiest one is to assign group_member_(needed)_add_power(s).

I will give you an example:

Server group (Server Admin)

i_group_member_add_power 75
i_group_needed_member_add_power 75
i_group_member_remove_power 75
i_group_needed_member_remove_power 75

Channel group (Channel Admin)

i_group_member_add_power 50
i_group_needed_member_add_power 75
i_group_member_remove_power 50
i_group_needed_member_remove_power 75

Only the Server Admin can assign the Channel Admin group.
Clients with the Channel Admin group can not assign Channel Admin to anyone else.

If you wanna let clients in the Channel Admin group assign this group to other clients, too you have to change the permission values a little.

Server group (Server Admin)

i_group_member_add_power 75
i_group_needed_member_add_power 75
i_group_member_remove_power 75
i_group_needed_member_remove_power 75

Channel group (Channel Admin)

i_group_member_add_power 50
i_group_needed_member_add_power 50
i_group_member_remove_power 50
i_group_needed_member_remove_power 50

In this example the Channel Admin can assign his group to other clients.
But he’s not able to assign the group Channel Admin to a client with the group Server Admin.

Thanks for your reply.

But i have the same permissions in my ‘Channel Admin’ and ‘Server Admin’
and that what confused me in first place, I don’t know why it didn’t work,
‘Channel Admin’ can still assign ‘Channel Groups’ to ‘Server Admin’ even with the same permissions applied, Nothing seems to work.

i don’t know if this is a problem in teamspeak, or it’s just meant to be like that.

Any help
