Time to clear this up - TeamSpeak 6 beta

Honestly, I didn’t want to write this, but it feels like we are going in circles with this project, and I know I’m not the only one who thinks this way.

1. No Updates, No Bug Fixes

It’s been over 3 months now without a single client update. There are still known minor bugs reported by users — UI glitches, connection hiccups, small annoying issues that could be fixed in days if there was any active development. But instead? Silence. No communication, no patches, nothing.

2. Where Are The Server Files?

We’ve been hearing for years about how TeamSpeak 6 will be a fully functional ecosystem. But how is it even possible that we still don’t have server files for TS6? How are people supposed to test or properly use the client when there’s no dedicated TS6 server software available? Are we supposed to wait another year? Or maybe never?

3. Mobile Apps - Just Another Promise?

At one point, it was mentioned that mobile apps are supposed to be in development. But honestly, does anyone really believe that right now? There is absolutely no sign of progress, no screenshots, no beta signups, no status reports — nothing. It feels like “mobile app development” is just on a slide in some presentation — a plan with no real execution behind it.

Is TeamSpeak 6 Becoming Vaporware?

This whole situation feels like a copy-paste from the past. Lack of communication, lack of transparency, no clear roadmap, and users left completely in the dark. This is exactly what killed momentum for TeamSpeak in the first place when Discord took over the market.

We were promised a new era with TS6. Right now, it looks like the project is slowly dying or becoming irrelevant before it’s even finished.

Is anyone else here still having hope for this project? Because from what I’m seeing — no updates, no server files, no mobile development progress — it looks like history is just repeating itself.

Yes, that’s true, not much happens on the outside or you don’t notice much. There was a small update post a month ago. Things are progressing with the client and screenshare. The minor bugs were probably so small or only from a small number of users that it was not considered necessary to bring it as a hotfix. Or there was no proper way how to fix it yet. You’re probably underestimating the size of the TeamSpeak team considerably, it’s just not possible to keep pushing out updates. For communication it is absolutely understandable.

Everyone is waiting for the server files, including me. A lot of bugs reported by the users on the communities were or still have to be fixed before the files can be released.
I also hope that the servers will be released early as alpha/beta files as mentioned in this post:

I would also like nothing more than a new, good mobile app and wonder why TeamSpeak doesn’t prioritise it more. Of course the desktop version is still more important, but in 2025 an app is also a must have.

I’m confident about the future of TeamSpeak in 2025 if things like the server files and finished screenshare are ready this year. TeamSpeak has always been different, also in terms of speed and communication. Is it good? No. Can we do much about it? Not really. I’m just glad that there is a solid alternative that is slowly improving over the years.

Sending image with limitation of 5MB should be fixed asap, it’s super annoying thing.

There is a mobile App TS Chat wich is still in Closed Beta and development on it was paused and no news about the continuation of it yet and also no updates since.
You could take a look at the forum section for it Mobile > TS Chat (Beta / Currently not maintained)

p.s. There is not much at the moment, as the TS Chat app is just an messaging app for the TS5/(TS6) Chats no ability to talk on a TS Server.

Teamspeak without a server file is not Teamspeak

We just want to hear something! Please!
I don’t want a timeline at this point, if something isn’t working, or is off-track, fine!
Just please keep us updated.
There are bugs, it’s still in development, whatever, you clearly have SOMETHING as you’re selling “communities” which are, in essence, just teamspeak6 servers hosted through your preferred platform.

I, as I’m sure, are others, are happy to wait if you aren’t ready to kick off alpha/beta testing, just let us know what you’re working on.

Hell, I was ready to buy a community server lease for a year, till I remembered that there’s no mobile app ready and that would prevent some of my friends from joining entirely.

I cannot think of a single technical reason why, what you already have, wouldn’t work for others, to me it just seems suspicious at this point.

I agree that after making TeamSpeak 6 stable, mobile apps should be high priority. If I can say from my aspect that me and my friends communicate 80% thro phone, we’re on the way or at home on phone.

Im afraid there is no devs for mobile apps, otherwise development should be already in progress.

I dont know whats in the background at TeamSpeak company structure, dont want to judge, but everything goes the way too slow and im not so sure about the future in which way will it go.
