Transparent communication about TeamSpeak 6 future

Hello everyone,

I want to start by saying that this post is not intended as an attack or pressure on the TeamSpeak staff or developers. I appreciate the work being done and simply want to open a discussion regarding upcoming updates.

There are two main points I’d like to bring up:

  1. TeamSpeak 6 Server Files – It has been over a month since the last update, and there hasn’t been much news regarding the release of the TS6 server files. Many of us in the community are eager to see progress and would love to hear any updates on the timeline or development status.
  2. Mobile App Improvements – The first announcement about TS6 mentioned a mobile app that would bring the same great features as the desktop version. It would be amazing to see those enhancements come to mobile, making TeamSpeak even more accessible on the go. Any insights on when we might expect further development on this?

I believe transparency and open communication help keep the community engaged and excited about what’s coming next. Looking forward to hearing thoughts from both the TeamSpeak team and the community!

What are your expectations or hopes for these updates?

maybe also some updates on the homebase? sounds super cool actually, would fix the problem of centralized image uploading people were talking about.

The homebase project is abandoned. I don‘t know if they plan to work on it in the future.

Server files would be really nice to have indeed.
I wouldn‘t expect any news for the mobile app in the near future.

how do you know its abandoned? thats probably the coolest thing ever, and they already had people stress test it which means they had a working version of it. why not clean it up and drop it.

yeah the mobile app can definitely stay on the back burner. the old one still works for me anyways.

I cant judge others, well I can say for me and my friends that we use mobile version like 70% of the time.

I’m a lot on the way, we’re all 30+ and for example, camera is mostly used on mobile devices.

The stresstest was years ago. Yes it was working but it was really buggy especially on larger serves. The Teamspeak 5 Matrix Server files were unofficially available for download on the Teamspeak Github for a long time. In the meantime they have also been made private

I truly want to give money to teamspeak, but its feeling more and more like it’s gonna be TS5 all over again. I get there’s probably information that cannot be released publicly for one reason or another, but I cannot see how any executive would think zero communication at all with potential customers is the best the company could do.

I cannot express enough how badly I want teamspeak to succeed, and that’s why this more-of-the-same approach kills me. I think a lot of people feel the same.

Just help me believe I don’t have to be chained to discord until their VC welfare runs out and we have zero viable options :sob:

just noticed that one of the developers is absent for several weeks due to holidays. Does this mean the development of the server files is on hold again? It’s starting to feel like TS5 history repeating itself…

Has there been any official update on this? Would love to hear your thoughts.
