Hi there,
I’m currently using a Pixel 7 and TS v3.4.5 for Android.
Whenever I connect my Bose NC 700 Headphones (via bluetooth), your app doesn’t seem to realize that my headphones have a mic - instead the mic of my phone is used.
I have not found anything in the settings where I would be able to change which mic is being used.
Any other apps (WhatsApp, Teams, Zoom, Discord, Skype…) I have tried, recognize and use the mic of my headphones automatically - haven’t had a single issue except with your app.
Please let me know how to make this work - implementing an option where one could chose which mic to use would be great and should, IMO, already exist in a voice chat app. Sorry in advance if I have simply overlooked where to find this option in the settings if it already exists.
Many thanks,
eperon
Bumping for…visibility? Seems to be a very low traffic forum here.
Well, by now, I have tried my old Sony WI-XB400 bluetooth headphones - same issue. I guess there must be something wrong with how the app handles BT devices.
Would appreciate any help / tips / workarounds.
Many thanks,
eperon
Edit to add that, again, all other apps automatically recognized the mic of my old Sony headphones as well - so both headphones are indeed working correctly.
That’s an interesting way of conducting customer support. Thanks for all your help.
Hello, unfortunately, the mobile app does not offer the option to select the input and output device like on the desktop version. Sadly, we have always encountered issues with Bluetooth devices in relation to the mobile app.
When I connect my AirPods Pro 2 with the iOS app, I don’t seem to have any problems at all, although it often becomes a bit tricky when I receive a phone call. Perhaps you can try a different pair of headphones/earbuds to see if it works.
I can’t offer a solution for the time being, as this needs to be investigated further. Nevertheless, we very much appreciate your feedback and will take it into account when working on this issue.
Thank you very much!
Hey @SYOX, apologies, I only saw your response just now, thank you very much.
Yes, as mentioned above, I already have tried another pair of headphones, which didn’t work as well. I don’t own a third pair of wireless headphones, so currently not able to test but will see if I can borrow some from a friend.
And just to let you know, my friend is on an iPhone 13 and uses Beats fit pro. It’s working for him just fine.
On the other hand, I have also tried a Samsung S22 with both of my headphones and it didn’t work. So I assume this is an issue with Android / your Android app.
Whatever the case may be, thank you again for responding and acknowledging that there seems to be an issue. Hopefully, you and your team will be able to resolve it in the future. In the meantime, I will stick to the desktop app, which I have been using for 5 years. Me and my friends are very happy with both the desktop app itself as well as your pricing!
Best to you and your colleagues,
