TS has stopped working, crashes

Hello. I use team speak on my android mobile. I have problem which I havent found anyone else to report. Starting up my TS mobile and logging into the servers all works fine, but problem I get is that after a couple of minutes the app ALWAYS crashes with the message ‘‘Teamspeak has stopped working’’ . And I have to start connecting again into the server again and again as the problem keeps repeating. How can I fix this ?

Hi, my name steeve can you tell me what connection you use [WIFI,4G] ? What android are you [Android 9,5.1,8] ?

If you do not keep TeamSpeak in foreground try disabling RAM optimisation for the TS app. Some Android derivatives are quite aggressive and it can happen that they clear RAM of an app still running in the background of it is not properly configured as an always running service.
If this is not the case.
What TS app version?
What Android Version?
What phone?
Default or custom rom? (If you have no idea it’s default)
Did it work before?

Hi Steve.
Im on 4G and andoid version 9

Hi
Team speak version 3.3.4
Android version 9
Using a techno phantom 9
I have no idea so its probably default
And no, it has always had this problem since install.

PS, im still trying to look at where i can disable RAM optimisation

hello.
can you upgrade the latest version of your android?

Hi @YoungerSkywalker, firstly great username

Thanks for this information, we’ll start trying to recreate this. Just to confirm that this crash happen after successfully connecting, then after a couple of minutes. If you could attach your logs that will help us greatly

Please DO NOT go into developer settings, this can have strange effects on your system, as well as other apps and will make it much harder to diagnose problems. Nor do I recommend doing any of the “advice” from @Steeve.Martinez, these will have detrimental affect on your experience of both our app and every other app.

But i did this personally and I never had a problem

sry, it’s usually called battery optimization.
But if @binpower93 is here to help, listen to his advice!

Roger. Battery optimisation was already disabled.

Hi. Ah okay. Havent messed with the developer settings anyway. Quick question, where do I find the logs ?
Btw, thank you everyone for the assistance. Didnt expect to get lots of replies and advice so fast :kissing_heart:

I’m using Google’s Files app, but it should be similar instructions using other apps:

  1. Click the three vertical dots in top right
  2. If it shows “Show Internal Storage” click it (if it says “hide” ignore it)
  3. Open the navigation drawer (3 lines in top left)
  4. Click Device Name
  5. Then it’ll be found at TS3/logs and select the one representing the latest session

Alternatively using File Transfer/MTP

  1. Connect Device to PC
  2. Open [Device Name]/TS3/logs and select the one representing the latest session

Okay ive found it, but the folder is empty.
In my TS mobile setting, under system, there is a ‘‘create Logfile’’ setting which was unselected, is this the reason why the folder is empty or is it unrelated ?

Sorry forgot to mention that :man_facepalming:. Please enable that setting, recreate the crash and follow my previous instructions

like so ? Recreated the crash twice.
