I did a fresh install of both the latest TS3 and TS5 clients on my mbp and both crashed either at or very shortly after the app window appeared. I came across this thread and realized that I also have the Hue Sync app and driver installed. I removed it from /Library/Audio/HAL and restarted the coreaudiod service and, voila, the TS3 and now the TS5 clients start. So there’s definitely something about the Hue Sync driver that trips up the TS audio code.
